Acceptable Use Policy

TrafMate is a tool. This page says plainly what it may not be used for, and what we do when we are told it is.

In force since 6 August 2026

What we can and cannot see

TrafMate is self-hosted: it runs on the customer's own server. We do not proxy their traffic, we do not store their clicks, and we cannot look inside their campaigns. What we do know is what the licence check sends us - the licence key, an installation identifier, the server address, the software version and the number of users and domains. This shapes everything below: we can end a licence, but we cannot take down someone else's landing page.

About traffic filtering, directly

The product includes traffic filtering, and we do not pretend otherwise. Splitting traffic between a review page and a campaign page is a normal instrument: it protects creatives from competitors and scrapers, keeps test traffic out of statistics, and cuts off bots. It becomes abuse the moment it is used to show a reviewer or a regulator one thing while showing end users an illegal offer. The instrument is neutral; that use of it is not, and it is prohibited here.

Prohibited without exception

Sexual content involving minors. Malware, phishing, fake authentication pages and anything that takes credentials or payment details under false pretences. Fake shops and offers that take money for goods that will not be delivered. Content that impersonates a real company, bank, payment system or public authority. Traffic to sanctioned entities. Anything unlawful in the jurisdiction where it is served.

Prohibited because it deceives the end user

Offers that hide the real price, the real subscription terms or the real seller. Automatic subscriptions the person did not knowingly agree to. Medical, financial or investment claims presented as fact when they are not. Pages built so that the person cannot tell who they are dealing with or how to get their money back.

Reporting abuse

Write to [email protected]. Include the address of the page and, if you can, how you arrived at it - the more of the path we can see, the more likely we can match it to an installation. We read every report. We answer reports from law enforcement and regulators, and we do so in writing.

What we actually do about it

We check whether the installation can be identified from the report. Where it can and the breach is clear, the licence is terminated and the paid period is not refunded. Where it is a matter of judgement, we ask the customer for an explanation first. We do not have a takedown button for content on someone else's server, and we will not claim otherwise - what we control is the licence.

Who we sell to

We sell a paid tool to identifiable customers, not anonymous access. Every licence is tied to a person or company that paid for it, to one installation and to one server address. Buying under a false identity to get around a previous termination is itself a breach.
